Day 6

Today was rough. It started with a small breakfast, a lunch I knew I was not going to like, temptations at work and a disappointing dinner. Not to mention, I did not lose any weight from yesterday (I know I should not do that but it is what it is and it is frustrating). I had to resist the urge today to eat Mexican food that was leftover from a meeting. I love Mexican food and it was from one of my favorite places, Moes. At lunch, my friend got chicken fingers & fries and I just had to try two small bites. I know those bites did not undo my progress but man I wanted more. I felt hungry at lunch for the first time since starting this program but luckily got busy at work so did not realize until 4 pm that I hadn’t had my PM snack yet.


Breakfast – Harvest Nut Bar. This was a glorified granola bar. It actually was smaller than some of the other bars offered. It had some chunks of dried fruits in it but mostly just tasted like sweet granola. I would not have ordered this originally and will not order it again. It was an okay taste but value was not there. In fact, I went through today and removed all bars from my next shipment because of lower value perception.

AM Snack – Turbo Shake

Lunch – Chicken Noodle Soup. I HATE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP. I mean, as far as soups go, it tasted just like other versions of chicken noodle soup. So, if someone is a fan, they would enjoy this. I had two servings of vegetables with it but I still was left hungry (as mentioned above). I think it goes without saying but just in case, I would not have ordered this originally and will not order it again.

PM Snack – Nutricurb protein bar

Dinner – Chicken Alfredo. So, there is two versions of this entree: the pantry kind and the frozen kind. Because it is the turbo week, this kind was the pantry version. I knew it would not be as good as a frozen version but man this was such a disappointment. The only pro is that it had large chunks of chicken and the chicken was good. But the sauce was absolutely disgusting. I had to “chase” my entree with my two servings of vegetables. It was rough to finish. I originally had this on my next order but removed it. Would not order again.

I only have one day left on the turbo week so I hope to have good results on the scale.

  1. What type of diet plan are you doing? Nutrisystem? Have you had good results? Sorry for multiple questions but I’m always searching for something that may work.

  2. Hi! Yes, I am doing Nutrisystem. I am in my first week now so my first official weigh-in since the program start will be tomorrow. I have really liked it so far. The food overall is pretty good with the exceptions of a few. I am never hungry and so it seems to be going well so far. Feel free to follow my diary to see if it might be right for you!

  3. Hey! I never knew you responded. I bought the 5day kit today from Wal-Mart. It has 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 5 dinners, 5 turbo shakes. Ever since I had read your entry it had put the nutrisystem idea in my head. I am going to start Monday. I will possibly write about it in my journal as well. I have not been on this site for the past week so I will catch up with your diary today.
