Day 19

I really wish sometimes my job was not so unpredictable with work volume. For instance, all last week I worked my 8 hours, got out on time, etc. The last two days I have stayed over because there is just so much to do and not enough time to get it done. So I tell myself, one more thing and then I will leave. Inevitably, that did not leave much time to go to the gym tonight. I got home around 6 pm, made dinner quickly, did the dishes and it was 7 pm. I still have other things around the house I need to get done so going to the gym could happen but I do value my down time. Luckily, I have tomorrow & Thursday and could still hit my 4 times a week goal. 

 

Food:

-Breakfast: Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal (Nutrisystem) and milk (Power fuel). I put in the same amount of milk as last time but this time was less soupy so I definitely enjoyed it more. It actually had more flavor than the maple kind I had. The taste of apples were not prevalent, which is fine because I am not the biggest fan of apple flavoring. I would probably order this again.

-AM Snack: Unsalted dry roasted peanuts (PF).

-Lunch: Today was my flex lunch so I brought tuna (PF ), mayo (extra), slice of wheat bread (smart carb) and two servings of vegetables. It might not seem like much, but it does take a while to eat when one of the veggies is carrots. Felt full for sure.

-PM Snack: 1 slice of wheat bread (SC) and 1 slice of low fat colby jack cheese (PF).

-Dinner: Thick crust pizza (NS) and two servings of vegetables. So… this was a pantry item. The crust was not as flavorful as the Italian herb pantry-style pizza. It was more chewy than I would have preferred but I did microwave it so maybe it would have been better cooked in the oven. There definitely could have been more cheese but more than enough sauce. The sauce ended up getting so hot it spilled off the sides of the pizza so it was very messy to eat. I am not sure if I would order this again.

-Evening snack: Chocolate chip cookies (NS). These were mini cookies and very crunchy. I personally prefer chewier cookies so that was a bit disappointing. Lots of chocolate flavor and it did taste like oatmeal flavoring might have been added. I probably won’t order this again just because there are so many great snack options that I will stick with ones I love.

 

I realized because I skipped my evening snack the last two times I flexed my dinner, I have two extra snacks. So, I will not need to flex my snack for this week or next week!
