This fake world

Didn’t you tell me you’d never leave me?
You said you’d stay by my side.”

Shackled by his presence, I nodded.
I was too enamored with his aura to deny him.

He was selfish.

I felt more like his pet then anything.
It was too easy for him.

The “princess” would be back any second.

Then I can rip off these shackles and reminisce fondly.
All of his tiny mannerisms screamed for her.

I wanted to help his pride,
but I no longer saw him in the same light.

“For you,” I begin as I adjust my shackles.

The smile that kept me here, formed on his face. It wasn’t a fake smile.
He was boy, trapped in a form he could not accept.

Good note.
