Tired of Writing

I think writing can be exhausting.  When you are trying to perfect a story to mail off to a potential magazine.  I’ve been up since 3:00 a.m. and now it is about 1:30 p.m. —working on fine-tuning this story.  I think it is right, now.  I sure hope so.  This is my first attempt at being a free-lance writer.  I’ve had 2 books self-published, and a third book still waiting to be mailed somewhere.  But I’ve never submitted to Guideposts before.  My story is true (names changed) and written in Guideposts style.  For those who may not know, Guideposts is a monthly inspirational magazine started by Norman Vincent Peale.  If they would accept my story and pay me something for it, then I would be a real free-lance writer.  I’d like that.  Well, that’s all the news for now.  Hugs to all!

  1. yes writing can be triding but if you have so much to say you want to get it out so that it dose not make your head hurt you can sit outside and write and just watch the birds fly over and watch the grass blow in the wind

  2. Writing is tiring because it is literally getting a story OUT of you and ON TO a page. It is so personal that it takes time and rewrites (LOL)
But I have found that writing is a “release” for me. Sometimes the story within needs to come out so bad that it will eat you alive until you have put it in writing. But what a relief it is to get it out.
I am praying hard for your opportunity with Guidepost!! How exciting! You would be published all over the country!! I hope God opens this door for you. Please keep me updated.

  3. Thank you both! GAB, I am greatly encouraged to know you are praying for my story!
I can’t thank you enough! If it comes out, it will probably be titled “Prayer of a four-year-old.” You can watch for it! and you will know you helped it happen!
