Song of the Day: Try by Colbie Caillat
Perception is deadly when judging yourself. We allow the actions of others to dictate who we are as a person. I tell people all the time that I’m ugly. That word holds no power over me. Often times the first thing people say when I say I’m ugly the say “no you’re not”. I’m gonna break it down as to why I say I’m ugly. I’m ugly in the sense that I’m not everyone’s type. I personally don’t use the word ugly anymore. I’ve matured in my way of thinking in regards to what’s attractive and what’s not. about The wording I use is “not my type”. I use that because that’s exactly what it is. It’s not that you’re ugly its that I like a certain look. Which is why I say yes I am ugly to someone and attractive to someone. Recently someone that wasn’t my type became my type through other avenues. As I get to know more about her its become more than just an outer appearance that makes a person attractive. So what I’m saying is that accept that you’re not everyone’s type. It doesn’t make you any less attractive. If you ask me I’m a handsome guy and that’s not just because of what’s external but also what’s internal.
