144. Untitled (p)

I never wanted you,
you swept through and fell into me,
Ricocheting off the walls inside,
seeping into the depths of these cracks,

You let them free, the demons within,
Dreams engulf this heart at night,
the heard of sheep no longer in sight,

Smiles, laughs, tears to fear,
With your hand in mine I never felt weary,

These sheets have become stagnant, even dreary,
Miles and miles of cold lonely brushes against my skin,
Undisturbed imprint of where you’ve once been,

The heard has returned, yet to sleep I still fail,
Over these tired eyes wondering thoughts prevail,

Just wide eyed, counting stars,
Wishing, wishing, wishing,
You haven’t wandered afar,
How you feel so far,
