Psalm 49, Treasure Your Days

Psalm 49 is very sobering literature/music. It identifies the brevity of life by noting the pending reality of death. Death is inevitable. There is no avoiding it. There is no escaping it. Therefore, our days should be lived knowing that they have a finite aspect, and quality. The definition of treasure changes when you recognize the limited time on earth. Relationships become more meaningful and reflect an eternal value. Don’t count your days. Rather, make your days count. Don’t live for treasure. Instead, treasure your days.

Psalm 49:10 “For all can see that the wise die, and the foolish and the senseless also perish…” (NIV)
