God has so many incredible attributes: holiness, eternality, omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, and so forth. But one attribute that I continue to marvel at is the Lord’s abundant compassion. It produce great tenderness, and gentleness. This is alluded to in Psalm 147, verse 3. This passage praises the fact that God longs to heal the emotional pain of mankind. He yearns to relieve us of the continual state of suffering that life can bring. This is quite remarkable, in that the Lord dies not tire of our frustrations and antics. Instead, He loves forever. What a compassionate, tender, and gentle Lord.
